.................Indiana film commissioner Jane Rulon has run the office for 11 years with Christopher Pohl and functions under the auspices of the Commerce Department. Film-related revenues came to $1.7 million, but Rulon's office does not track commercials, TV shows, or the immense amount of film and video production related to the Indy 500 and car racing industry.

  Feature production was limited to a low-budget, independent film, Lonesome Jim, written by Indiana native Jim Strouse, who is based in New York. Steve Buscemi directed a cast topped by Liv Taylor and Casey Affleck and filmed in Indianapolis.

  On the TV side, a Chinese production team filmed 20 episodes of a dramatic series for airing in China. The Indiana connection: The series was adapted from a novel written by an Indianapolis resident, published in China, that followed the American experiences of four Chinese ex-pats.......................READ MORE
